Outpatient care
No hospital stay
Consultations, examinations and procedures without being admitted.
A clear, coordinated and personal pathway in a single visit
Outpatient care brings together planned assessment, consultation and follow-up without an overnight stay. Bringing a symptom history, previous reports, allergy information and a complete medicines list helps make the conversation more precise.
The clinician listens to concerns, performs an indicated examination and recommends laboratory, imaging or other tests only when clinically appropriate. The patient should leave with the next steps, a follow-up plan and clear advice on signs that need earlier review.
What is useful to bring to an appointment?
- A short note of the main concerns and when they started
- A list or packages of all medicines, vitamins and supplements
- Known allergies and any previous reactions to medicines
- Previous laboratory, ultrasound, CT/MRI and clinician reports
- Questions or concerns you would like to discuss
- A support person for translation or practical help, if needed
How does an outpatient visit work?
01 • Booking and preparation
The purpose of the visit is clarified and the patient prepares records, medicines, allergy details and questions.
02 • Consultation and assessment
The clinician discusses symptoms, performs a focused examination and decides whether any further tests are appropriate.
03 • Plan and follow-up
Recommendations, result arrangements, follow-up timing and warning signs are explained before the patient leaves.
Outpatient care is not emergency care
Do not wait for a planned appointment if there is severe chest pain, marked breathing difficulty, fainting, stroke symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding or rapid deterioration. Seek emergency medical help immediately.
This page provides general information. Assessment and treatment are individual clinical decisions; do not start, stop or change the dose of medicines without professional advice.
